Eerste dataproducten live in de PDX: ga vandaag nog aan de slag!

The PDX is ready for use, and the first data products and services are now available. The offering is highly diverse. In addition to datasets and various applications, it also includes “commons” made available by participants: each DMI participant can sample products and services worth €2,500 from any of the other participants. This encourages participants to explore the offerings of others. And the offerings can be continuously updated.

Explore the current offerings – from a Digital Twin Benefit Management workshop to a practical climate stress test update – and get started with the PDX yourself. View the offerings here.

The PDX is where DMI ecosystem members can securely and reliably exchange data, products, and services. Whether you’re looking for something or want to offer it, the PDX allows you to do both, connecting supply and demand.

Flying start for Readar and Stratopo

During the most recent DMI Management Council meeting in Amersfoort, Stratopo and Readar published their first products and data live on the WeCity and Dexes marketplaces. This made everything immediately available to every DMI participant connected through either of these two marketplaces.

“The PDX allows us to easily offer our data products, such as mapping the presence of solar panels on roofs, home insulation, and change detection. The PDX unburdens us and our customers and makes it much easier to start using data,” says Sven Briels, CTO and founder of Readar. “Registering our datasets proved to be a breeze in practice.” Stratopo also successfully joined the meeting. Sven Reulen, CEO of Stratopo: “The power of the PDX was immediately apparent: within minutes, our integrated services—Mobility Hubs and Bicycle-Oriented Development—were live and searchable on the PDX. Through the platform, parties can now easily connect to accelerate the adoption of sustainable mobility together.”

Selection from the current offer

Several DMI participants have already placed their commons in the PDX, including ESRI, Argaleo, Dexes, and Gaiyo. Below is a selection from the various offerings:

The Walk – Navigating the Dynamics of Urban Transformation
Provider: Novis De Meij
This exploration of the Zuidas district reveals how urban development takes shape in practice. Participants will gain insight into the role of data, adaptability, and decision-making in a constantly evolving area.

Provider: IMAGEM
How can you leverage the opportunities of digital twins in a sustainable and usable way? This workshop will help you bridge the gap between technology and practice, and support you in realizing lasting added value.

ArcGIS Integration Workshop – as an Open Urban Platform and Foundation for Digital Twins.
Provider: Esri Netherlands.
This two-part workshop demonstrates how ArcGIS can be used for spatial planning challenges. You’ll discover how to effectively integrate data analysis and visualization tools into your own solutions.

Climate Stress Test Update – Step 1 Guide.
Providers: The Weather Makers and Nelen & Schuurmans.
This practical guide helps municipalities update their climate stress tests. It provides tools to link policy goals to climate challenges and thus take concrete steps towards implementation.

Vianova joins Dutch consortium to help build smart cities for the future

European collaborative mobility data platform Vianova has announced that it’s joined a new consortium in the Netherlands to test mobility data solutions and help build smart, sustainable cities for the future. The consortium – Digital Orchestration of Public Spaces (DRO) – was launched as part of the Dutch Metropolitan Innovations (DMI) ecosystem and an official innovation contract was awarded by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management at the end of 2023.  With a more than €23m budget, the consortium will work on the development of digital tools for cities and regions to better manage public space over the next five years. Vianova is the only non-Dutch organization joining the consortium and will contribute mobility data to improve road safety and reduce carbon emissions in cities.

  1. Beste mensen,
